House of Angostura Shines at Food Festival with Signature Cocktails and an Exclusive Lounge Experience
Caribbean Wines and Spirits (CWS), The Bahamas’ premier wine and spirits distributor, captivated attendees at the 2024 International Culture Wine and Food Festival (ICWFF) with its exceptional House of Angostura Rum-themed lounge and expertly crafted cocktails. As a sister company to Caribbean Bottling Company (CBC), local producers of Coca-Cola and Dasani, CWS continues to set the standard for delivering world-class beverage experiences in The Bahamas.
Patrons of the beloved annual festival had the opportunity to indulge in three specialty cocktails crafted by mixologist Derrick Blackmon at the House of Angostura booth. Blackman wowed consumers with Sweet Mouth, made with Angostura 5 rum, Spicy Tonic, made with Angostura Tamboo and the crowd favorite Island Breeze, made with Angostura White Oak Coconut rum.
With the purchase of any specialty cocktail or traditional mixes, guests were able to access the comforts and excitement of the Angostura lounge.
What was once a corner in the upper level of Fort Charlotte was transformed into a relaxing day lounge. CWS Team members worked tirelessly on the festival’s eve mounting branded tents, lifting patio dining tables, padded chairs and couches along with Angostura branded pillows for ultimate comfort.
Guests were treated to a live, brand-centered painting over the course of both days, by award winning artist, Stefan Davis, popularly known as Stefan Legend.
As Davis’s painting took on a life of its own, crowds flocked to the Angostura booth taking photos of the progression and guessing what the final visual would be.
For many, their appreciation for Davis’s talent led them to sample and purchase specialty drinks from the booth, but for others they bought cocktails and stayed for the life-size art. Many chose to take photos with the piece once it was completed.
In the end, the brilliant idea to offer specialty cocktails, in a chic lounge paired with live art, was a smashing success.
Over the two-day festival, CWS not only served up delicious mixed drinks, comfort, and artistic flair but also engaged attendees with its knowledgeable staff, who offered detailed insights into each product. Angostura specialists enriched the experience, giving festival-goers a deeper appreciation for the exceptional beverages they enjoyed.
Before the official closing of the ICWFF, Sunday night, CWS sold out of all specialty and standard mixed drinks. With many people coming back for seconds or encouraging family and friends to try one of the many offerings, it is no surprise that it was a major success.
